Hiroko Minakami (Mina)

Hiroko Minakami, known affectionately as “Mina,” is an internationally acclaimed pianist and composer. Her career has been spotlighted in leading music publications, where she is praised as “an artist whose popularity was not built through competitions, but through the heartfelt support of audiences around the world.”
With a global fanbase, she has been dubbed the “Queen of Classical Crossover” and the “Etranger of the Classical World” for her innovative fusion of classical music with original compositions, tango, folk, gypsy melodies, and her engaging stage presence, including witty talk and occasional vocals.
She began playing the piano by ear at the age of three, inspired by records, radio, and television. She formally started piano lessons at age six.

1978: Studied under Walter Panhofer at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna
1979: Enrolled in Musashino Academia Musicae (Tokyo), studied under Jan Horák
1991: Studied under the legendary Lev Naumov at the Moscow Conservatory
1993: Studied with Ana Iftinci in Romania

1989: Professional debut in Melbourne, Australia, followed by extensive performances across the country
European debut with the Arad and Timisoara National Symphony Orchestras in Romania; solo performances broadcast nationwide
Appeared at major venues such as Tokyo Opera City Takemitsu Memorial Hall and Tokyo International Forum, earning high praise from critics and major music magazines
Since 1996, over 3,000 concerts performed in Japan, Europe, the US, Australia, and Asia, including cities like Paris, Vienna, London, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Budapest, and Seoul
Released 13 albums, all commercially successful; original compositions featured as theme songs for TV and radio

戦場のピアニスト～水上裕子(Hiroko MINA) 武蔵野音楽大学を卒業後オーストラリア.メルボルンでデビュー。
その後留学先のモスクワ音楽院にてクーデターに遭遇し東西冷戦の終結を目の当たりにする。 やむなくモスクワを後にしルーマニアへ。
「ルーマニア革命後初めてルーマニアに足を踏み入れた外国人ピアニスト」と言われルーマニアでのデビューコンサートは国営放送で放映された。 現在でも多くのファンに支えられている。
幼い頃観た中国残留婦人のドキュメンタリー映画が深く記憶に残り、1997年から中国東北地方演奏の旅を始める。 昨年日中国交正常化50周年記念イベントではスマップ、山口百恵とともに日本のアーティストとして紹介され、演奏は中国の国営テレビ局CCTVにより中国全土に放映された。
クラシッククロスオーバーの第一人者でもあり自作曲のCD12枚はいずれもヒット。クラシック界では異例の売り上げを伸ばし、NHK.民放のテーマ曲、BGM等としても使われる。 著作「私にはピアノがあったから」は全国主要図書館に並ぶ。その活動は小中学校道徳教科書に掲載される。
クラシック、ジプシー、ラテン等オールジャンルの楽曲に加え、ボーカル、軽妙なトークで世界中の聴衆の心をとらえる。アメリカ、ヨーロッパ、アジア各国でもコンサートは毎回スタンディングオベーションの熱気に包まれる。
